Audacity

Audacity is an indispensable tool for me right now. As I dive deep into the world of podcasting, Audacity lets me record, edit, and convert sound files easily and quickly. I highly recommend this free software for anyone interested in creating podcasts. Be sure to download the LAME encoder too so you can save your files in .mp3 format. FREE

BlogJet

BlogJet is a software program that allows you create your blog posts offline. When you're ready, it then will upload your post(s) to your blog. I've been using BlogJet for a couple of months now and am pretty happy with it. It is very nice to be able to compose my posts for Dangerously Irrelevant without being connected to the Internet. $

Netvibes

Netvibes is an online service that allows you to see multiple blog / RSS feeds on a single web page. Netvibes lets you create tabs (across the top) so that you can organize your feeds into different pages and also allows for drag-and-drop rearrangement. Once you see what it does, I'm guessing you'll be hooked (it's much better than Bloglines)! FREE

Taskbar Shuffle

Taskbar Shuffle is a little utility that lets you drag your Windows taskbar buttons around to rearrange them. This is useful if you're anal-retentive like me and always like the buttons for your open windows to be in a certain order. FREE

Onfolio

Onfolio is truly one of those tools I can't live without. Not only does it save and index web pages, e-mail messages, and other documents, it's also the best blog (RSS) aggregator I've seen to date. Plus it interacts with EndNote, for those of you who are so inclined, and it's super easy to search for and/or share items with others. $ (but well worth it)
